The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has dismissed rumours circulating that hiplife Musician, Okomfo Kwaadee is dead.
In a statement, MUSIGA assured the general public that the 'Ka Wo Nan To So' hit maker was alive and kicking.
According to the statement, the Welfare Officer of the Union, Mr J. V. Owusu had spoken to Kwaadee and his mother and gave the assurance that he was responding positively to treatment.
'MUSIGA would like to entreat the general public to disregard such rumours. We would also like to appeal to the general public to remember him in their prayers for a speedy recovery,' the statement said.
Earlier in this year, the Ghanaian hiplife artiste was reported missing after his mother, Cecilia Sakia said on Accra-based Peace FM's Entertainment Review
Programme that she had not seen her son for close to three years.
It was later reported that he had been sighted in Santasi, a suburb near Kumasi in the Ashanti Region.
Okumfour Kwadee, for some time now, has been battling with substance abuse and mental illness. He has been in and out of various rehab centers across the country.
